![]() ![]() I then disconnect and eyeball the board a bit more. It wasn't a particular chip, as I found that just pushing a bit on that area of the board (near the heat sink) had the same effect, just a solid grey screen.)ĥ) So by now I'm thinking this is some sort of progress, that theres something funky with the board, loose connection maybe. (I took that link from "the killer instinct project" website, and he references that image as the result of plugging the boot rom in backwards.but mine definitely wasn't! it was the correct orientation)Ĥ) So the flashkit didn't change anything (wasn't fully expecting it to, but figured it would be good to have eventually anyway)Īs it was all powered up, I pushed with a tiny bit of pressure on one of the chips, and hey presto, I got a solid light grey screen. It arrived, plugged it all in.same result, just a garbled screen. ![]() No audio either.ģ) Thought I'd get the flash card kit (and boot rom). Tried it with and without the original hard-drive, same result. Just went straight to that screen and nothing more. Not getting the blue screen anymore, but instead a garbled screen of short horizontal lines. That's fine, it was 99% sure to be the hard drive.Ģ) Just recently I booted it up again. ![]() But i'm getting nowhere fast, in fact I'm going backwards!ġ) Originally, years ago, I was getting the repeating blue boot screen. Finally got a flash card and matching boot rom for my killer instinct 2 board. ![]()
